Outpatient Clinic Fee The outpatient clinic fee is charged for in-person and remote appointments, examination and procedure visits, treatment-related phone calls and prescription renewals. The fee may also be charged in situations where a booked appointment has not been cancelled or the cancellation has been made too late.
The outpatient clinic fee covers costs related to arranging and providing the service. These include costs related to appointment booking, registration, cashier services, advice and client guidance, as well as the maintenance of patient information systems. In addition, the fee covers personnel, facility, telecommunications and telephone costs.
Kanta Fee The Kanta fee is charged for service events for which information is stored in the Kanta Archive. These include, for example, in-person and remote appointments, phone calls, and examinations and procedure visits performed by a doctor.
The fee covers costs arising from the fulfilment of statutory authority obligations, as well as related system and maintenance costs.
Direct Kela Reimbursement We use direct Kela reimbursement. Kela reimbursement is only granted for visits that are eligible for reimbursement. The Kela reimbursement is deducted directly from the total price of the service at the time of payment.
In 2026, Kela reimbursements are as follows:
• Doctor’s appointment: 8 €
• Remote appointment: 8 €
• Treatment-related phone call: 8 €
Appointments
At Muotosairaala, doctors work as independent practitioners and set their own fees.
The total price of an appointment is based on the doctor’s fee and any minor procedures, supplies used and medical statements issued.
The final price consists of the doctor’s fee, the outpatient clinic fee and the Kanta fee. The amounts of the outpatient clinic and Kanta fees are shown with each service in the more detailed service information.

Procedures
An exact price estimate is always provided during the appointment. The price estimate is valid for six (6) months from the appointment.
According to the decision by the Finnish Tax Administration, aesthetic surgery has been subject to VAT since 1 May 2014. Prices marked VAT 0% apply to medical procedures performed for health-related or functional reasons. Prices marked VAT 25.5% apply to procedures performed for aesthetic reasons. Some procedures can be performed on both aesthetic and medical grounds, in which case the situation is assessed during the doctor’s appointment. The price list shows the VAT-exempt and VAT-inclusive prices separately.
Please note that Plastic Surgeon Patrik Lassus’s procedure fees differ from Muotosairaala’s standard prices. The price of the procedure is determined individually based on the treatment plan prepared during the consultation.

Laser Hair Removal

Face
Facial hair removal for women is VAT 0%. A person undergoing a gender transition process is also entitled to VAT-exempt treatment after receiving a diagnosis.

Payment and Cancellation Policies
Payment methods: You can pay with debit and credit cards at our clinic (American Express, Visa credit/debit, Mastercard credit/debit, JCB, UnionPay, Diners/Discover.
If an advance invoice or other invoice is issued for the service, the invoiced services cannot be paid for by debit or credit card.
Financing: We also offer financing options through Svea Finance and Resurs Bank — more information is available at our clinic.
Appointment booking and cancellation terms: You can reschedule or cancel your appointment free of charge if you do so no later than 24 hours before your booked appointment. For cancellations made later than this, or for appointments that are not cancelled at all, we reserve the right to charge the full price of the booked service. The cancellation terms also apply to free first visits and follow-up appointments. A normal cancellation fee will be charged for an unattended free appointment.
Pre-planned minor procedures must be cancelled no later than 48 hours before the procedure. Otherwise, we will charge 50% of the procedure price.
For larger procedures, we use advance invoicing 14 days before the procedure date. If the client cancels the procedure without medical grounds less than 14 days before the procedure date, we will charge 50% of the costs. This term also applies to appointments that are not cancelled.
If the procedure is cancelled for medical reasons, we will reschedule it for a new agreed date.
