HArmonyCa® is a Dual-Effective Hybrid Injection Treatment for Aging Skin
HArmonyCa® is a dual-effective hybrid injection treatment developed specifically for aging (40+) skin, in which hyaluronic acid (HA) and collagen stimulating calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) are combined. Hyaluronic acid is a glycosaminoglycan (a saccharide or a sugar) that exists as large amounts in human soft tissue naturally. CaHA naturally exists, especially in bones and teeth, as large amounts as well.
In many cases, aging can first be seen on the face as losing facial fullness or volume or as the droopiness of facial features.
Most facial fillers contain only hyaluronic acid. HArmonyCa treatment is special because it combines hyaluronic acid with calcium hydroxyapatite that increases the skin’s own collagen production. This way, HArmonyCa can simultaneously lift the facial features and tighten the skin.

HArmonyCa® Injection Treatment – Procedure
HArmonyCa® Treatment is often done using cannulas, but sometimes it can be done with small needles as well. HArmonyCa contains local anesthetics, making the treatment well tolerable.
The results of HArmonyCa can be seen right after, but the collagen production becoming more effective takes longer. Because of this, the results of the treatment improve during the following few months. The final results can be seen after 4-6 months.

HArmonyCa® Injection Treatment is generally safe.
Mild swelling is common in the days following the treatment and usually settles within a week.
All injection treatments always involve a risk of bruising and a small risk of infection.
Rare side effects include subcutaneous unevenness and small lumps, allergic reactions, delayed foreign body reactions and granulomas.
A very rare side effect of filler treatments is vascular occlusion, which in the most severe cases may threaten vision. The risk of vascular occlusion is very low when the treatment is performed using cannulas.

Risks of the Treatment
- An active skin disease in the treatment area prevents the treatment from being performed.
- The treatment is not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- To minimize the risk of bruising, we recommend avoiding anti-inflammatory pain medication, omega-3 supplements and fish oil supplements for 2 weeks before the treatment. Anti-inflammatory pain medication, omega-3 or fish oil supplements, or blood-thinning medication do not, however, prevent the treatment from being performed.
- Please remove any makeup before the treatment.
Treatment
- The treatment takes 10–30 minutes.
- HArmonyCa® contains local anesthetics, but mild pain and discomfort may occur.
After Treatment
To ensure the optimal result of HArmonyCa® treatment, it is important to follow the aftercare instructions.
- The treatment causes mild swelling and redness.
- Do not apply makeup to the skin or get the skin wet on the day of the treatment. Also avoid touching the face. From the following morning onwards, the skin can be washed normally.
- Exercise that causes sweating and sauna should be avoided for at least 24 hours.
- Possible bruises will fade within 1–2 weeks.
- The final results of the treatment can be seen 4–6 months after the treatment.
- The results last for 9–24 months.
- We recommend maintenance treatment every 1–2 years according to an individual treatment plan.
- If there is unevenness in the treated area, it is good to massage the area a few times a day. If the unevenness does not disappear within a few days, please contact Muotosairaala.
