Laser Genesis™ and Green Genesis™, as well as MUOTOgenesis, which combines the two, are low-level laser treatments that help maintain the skin’s elasticity, prevent lax skin, and improve the tone and glow of the skin’s surface. The most commonly treated areas are the face, neck, décolleté, and the backs of the hands. The treatments suit both men and women and are performed by our experienced laser nurses. Low-level laser treatments require no downtime, making them suitable for busy people who do not have the time or possibility for the longer recovery required by more intensive laser treatments performed by a doctor.

Laser Genesis™ helps maintain the skin’s collagen levels and is well suited as a preventive treatment for preserving the skin’s collagen levels, known as “collagen banking”, and preventing superficial lines. It complements other anti-aging treatments, such as higher-powered laser treatments, microneedling, injection treatments, and plastic surgery procedures. The treatment is also suitable for darker skin.
Green Genesis™ helps even out mild skin tone concerns, such as mild redness, couperose, or sun-induced uneven pigmentation. Muotosairaala is the only clinic in Finland to offer this treatment. The treatment is suitable as a skin-brightening treatment to complement other aesthetic treatments. Green Genesis treatment is not suitable for those with hormonal melasma hyperpigmentation or darker skin.

MUOTOgenesis Laser Treatment
At Muotosairaala, MUOTOgenesis low-level laser treatment combines Laser Genesis and Green Genesis treatments into one treatment session as the only treatment of its kind in Finland! MUOTOgenesis helps maintain the skin’s collagen levels, known as “collagen banking”, and firmness, prevents the appearance of superficial lines, and brightens the skin while creating a glow effect.
We recommend starting with a series of treatments (4–6 treatments, 3–5 weeks apart) and continuing with maintenance treatments 1–2 times a year.
Like Green Genesis, MUOTOgenesis combination treatment is not suitable for those with hormonal melasma hyperpigmentation or darker skin.
Laser Genesis, Green Genesis and MUOTOgenesis
The treatments can usually be performed without a prior consultation. The skin should not be tanned, and self-tanning products also prevent treatment. Please remove makeup before the treatment. The treatment area should be hairless or shaved.
The treatments are performed without numbing cream. You may feel warmth and slight tingling on the skin during the treatment. The treatments are performed by our trained laser nurses. The treatments are not performed during pregnancy.

After Treatment
The treatment gives the skin a light glow. After the treatment, the skin usually feels slightly warm and has mild redness. Possible hyperpigmentation may temporarily darken slightly before lightening.
After the treatment, the treated area should be well protected from the sun for one month. Makeup can be applied and the skin can be washed as usual. We recommend avoiding sauna and exercise that causes sweating until the mild post-treatment redness has disappeared, usually only for the day of treatment. Series treatments are usually done 3–5 weeks apart.
Risks of Genesis Laser Treatments
The treatment is a low-level laser treatment and is generally very safe when performed by skilled professionals. Very rarely, redness, a feeling of warmth, and mild discomfort may last longer than usual, but usually for no more than two to three days. Temporary darkening of hyperpigmentation is possible. The risk of burns is extremely low in low-level laser treatments performed by an experienced professional.
